July 27-29 a training session on “Steps to effective activism” was held in Poltava oblast. The head of the Ecoclub Andriy Martynyuk shared with the participants of the event the experience of cooperation with major foreign donors, told about the key factors for writing competitive project proposals and the formation of viable projects.
The event was attended by representatives of NGOs from Poltava, Dikanka, Kiev, Sumy, Nikolaev, Cherkasy, Uzhgorod, Kamiansk, Kryvyi Rih and Fastov. 30 public figures and activists have deepened their knowledge of fundraising and project management. For three days, community activists have come up with ideas for cooperation. NGO “EKOLTAVA” presented a finished project on the sorting of recycled materials in schools “ChistoTak”, the implementation of which involves all friendly organizations of the region.
Among the ideas worthy of attention from donors, the participants highlighted the following: the development of informal environmental education among schoolchildren, the elimination of unemployment in rural areas, the creation of public spaces and many other educational activities.
