Ecoclub will install three more solar power plants for hospitals in Shumsk, Letychiv, and a nursing home in Mykolaiv.
Thanks to effective and efficient collaboration with our contractors, Ecoclub managed to save funds within the framework of the Renewable Energy for Sustainable Ukraine project, implemented by GIZ on behalf of the German government. This allowed us to finance additional solar power installations. The project is being implemented by a consortium of NGOs: Ecoclub, Ecoaction, Energy Act for Ukraine, and RePower Ukraine Charitable Foundation.
Through an additional call for proposals, the communities of Shumsk, Letychiv, and Mykolaiv were selected. These communities stood out due to their completed project design documentation, allocated budgets, and expert assessments, which gave them a competitive edge during the selection process. The call for proposals was announced in Ecoclub’s newsletter for local communities.
Moreover, thanks to the saved funds, another consortium partner, RePower Ukraine Charitable Foundation, will install a new solar power plant for the Kyiv Perinatal Center.
In total, the NGO consortium is implementing 20 renewable energy projects in communities across Ukraine.
