The project team contributed to the development of the biogas industry in the Kyiv region by analyzing the industry’s potential, establishing cooperation between communities and businesses, and developing a Biogas Development Plan
During the project:
- created a questionnaire to preliminarily collect information from farms and other businesses as potential suppliers of raw materials for the biogas plant;
- held a biogas forum in Fastiv;
- created a map of raw materials in the Bila Tserkva district for biogas plants with the calculation of logistics and economic potential;
- developed a Biogas Development Plan for the Kyiv region;
- developed a pre-project feasibility study of a biogas plant for the production of biomethane and electricity from biogas in the Kyiv region for a sugar producer;
- held the event “Development of the Biogas Industry in Kyiv Region”
