Ecoclub and Ecoaction invite you to the webinars “Damage to central heating due to war: assessment and opportunities for recovery.”
262 central heating boiler rooms were destroyed by russian troops in three months of open war against Ukraine. The degree of their damage varies – from broken windows to complete destruction. In Kharkiv only, 26 boiler houses were damaged. At the same time, central heating remains the most efficient method of heating for apartment buildings in densely populated communities.
Now communities must accept the challenge – to restore central heating by the next heating season and work out ways to develop it so as to improve the quality of services. It is also an opportunity to switch central heating to renewable energy sources, which will increase energy independence, develop the local economy and mitigate the climate crisis.
During the webinars we will talk to community representatives about how much central heating has suffered because of russian distruction, what plans they have to rebuild and what opportunities experts from Denmark offer to Ukrainian communities.
