The Verkhovna Rada has registered the draft Law “On Amendments to the Law of Ukraine “About Environmental Impact Assessment.” According to Ecoclub’s experts, this Law may become an obstacle for Ukraine to join the European Union. The current Law and proposed amendments do not fully comply with Directive 2011/92/EU requirements.
Possible innovations will further complicate for the public:
- access to the information;
- familiarization, submission of comments and proposals (shortening their terms),
- participation in the discussion.
Therefore, Ecoclub considers the proposed amendments to Law to be inappropriate.
