The project “Synergy of actions of the civil society, government and business in the format of energy cluster for energy reform of Khmelnytsky region” envisages the consolidation of actions of all stakeholders in the process of forming a strategic vision of energy efficiency and renewable energy in Khmelnytsky region. During the project implementation period, a methodology for assessing the potential of renewable energy sources will be developed and an analysis of the Khmelnytsky region will be conducted according to this methodology. The results of this study will be included in the strategy of regional development of Khmelnytsky region, which is to be developed in 2019.
Expected project results: A methodology for analyzing the potential of renewable energy sources has been developed; An analysis of the potential of Khmelnytsky region completed and its results will be included in the new strategy of regional development; The participation of all stakeholders (civil society, government, business, academia, media) in the project implementation on the platform of the Khmelnytsky Energy Cluster is ensured; The Forum “Energy independence of Khmelnytsky region is our common cause” was organized and attended by more than 100 participants (government, business, science, media, public); As part of the project, 3 press conferences will be held, as well as 2 round tables with government officials. The media audience of the project will reach more than 1 million people; 500 copies of analytics of Khmelnytsky region were published; Experience in the analysis methodology will be disseminated through the Civil Society Local Energy Efficiency Network, which brings together 45 NGOs in Georgia, Armenia, Moldova and Ukraine.
